AB InBev’s SmartBarley℠ enables UK Barley farmers to lower their environmental impact

The SmartBarley℠ Initiative established by AB InBev will allow farmers to compare their barley production with other growers around the world, enabling them to tweak their production using other farmers insights.

Although this will be the first time that SmartBarley℠ is introduced to the UK, it has been working successfully for farmers in other parts of the world already. The new program has three main aims: to lower the environmental impact of participating farms, increase productivity and grow the malting barley required for AB InBev’s specific brewing needs.

AB InBev have shown a strong sense of responsibility towards growers and the environment, partnering with UK farmers to achieve their shared goals of natural resource efficiency, increased productivity and profitability
