As spring begins, many people make the decision to leave all of the bad habits of the Winter behind and start to make changes in time for the Summer. Spring is an excellent time to overhaul your lifestyle as without the cold and rain of the Winter, you are probably feeling much more motivated and comfortable with trying new things, as well as having more to look forward to with the longer, warmer days. Here are some of the ways you can renew your life and feel healthier and happier this Spring.
Give up Smoking
This is something lots of people are always considering, but Spring is an excellent time to give up. Once you give up smoking, you will be able to breathe better than ever, which will make it easier to exercise and run around all Summer. Giving up smoking isn’t easy, but a lot of people find it more comfortable if they make the move to e-cigarettes first. With e-cigs, you are able to gradually reduce the amount of nicotine, so you are dealing with the physical addiction whilst still having something to “smoke” which deals with the psychological addiction.
Take up a New Sport
Many people try to start going to the gym in an effort to get their summer beach bodies, but the motivation to go to the gym is something you cannot buy. If you take up a team sport instead, you should find it easier to actually do the sport and attend every session, as you won’t want to let the team down. Sport is also much more interesting than simply working away on a machine in the gym, offering a more rewarding experience all round.
Learn a New Skill
Overhauling your life isn’t just about overhauling your body. You may find that you feel better in both your body and mind if you take up a challenge that will see you through to the next year. Try learning a new language, or leaning how to draw or paint, and then develop this as the year goes on; this time next year, you will have a new skill and something show for the year you have just had. This would be a wonderful thing to try every year to continue improving yourself.

Luckily I managed to kick the smoking habit years ago but learning a new skill is a great one – I’m currently trying to understand basic SEO and there’s plenty to understand! #WeekendBlogHop

I have always wanted to learn a new language. Probably French because we visited France every year. Great post. Popping over from the Weekend Blog Hop x
