If you’ve been following my social media (or even this blog!) lately, you might have noticed that we’ve been trying out a lot of different fancy dress outfits. If there’s one thing S loves, it’s dressing up. For Christmas this year, I bought her three fancy dress onesies and she absolutely loves them. But with the hot weather recently, it’s been a bit warm to dress up as a dog. We were delighted then, to find that Asda had some fantastic fancy dress costumes in stock.
And if you’ve been shopping for fancy dress costumes, you really need to try them out – so we had a fancy dress picnic in the path with some of S’s friends!
S went in her Frozen costume; I think she only loves it so much because there’s a brooch on the front that plays a song.
Her friends from nursery dressed up too; we had a skeleton with tiger whiskers (of course) and a princess with cat whiskers (of course!)
We had a robot too, but I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo of him with his full costume on. Shame, because it was bloomin’ awesome.
And of course, Elsa from Frozen put in an appearance. We had lots of yummy party food, but nobody wanted to sit still for long; with all that grass around us, everyone wanted to get up and run around!
There were also bubbles.
Lots and lots of bubbles.
And lots of running around.
And my sister made friends with our robot, disguised as a little boy.
I tried to get a photo of all the children with the baron, but children don’t sit still much.
Did I mention the running around? After all that running around, our little fancy dress pickles were very tired (we hoped!) and they all went home to bed.
Disclosure: Thanks to Asda for providing S’s costume and our party food!
