January is over – but many of us are still dragging ourselves through that winter funk…
Just because January is behind us, doesn’t mean we’re all suddenly over our January blues – they’ve just changed into February blues for many of us!
I hate cold, wet weather – and that’s all we seem to have been getting of late!
Here are five ways to get over those grumpy February blues…
1 Get outside for some exercise! It sounds like the last thing you want to do, but getting a bit of fresh air – and perhaps even getting a bit out of breath and sweaty – can do wonders for your mood. Wynsors World of Shoes sent me a lovely pair of trainers which I’ve been using to try and get out and about and a bit more active; so far it’s helping!
2 Take a supplement ok, so this one sounds really boring but if you can avoid getting poorly it does help! I take a good quality multivitamin as well as fish oils every day and I am sure these help me not just to be physically healthy, but also mentally well – especially the fish oils!
3. Get a daylight lamp – if you’re still feeling miserable and it’s dark and wet outside, get a daylight lamp. If you put one of these next to you while you’re working or watching TV it can help you to feel a bit more chipper!
4. Watch a funny video – I’m fairly sure the internet was invented just for Lolcats! Whatever you find amusing, find a video of it online and watch… here’s one of my current favourites:

I quite often don’t feel like going out for a walk, but whenever I do it usually revitalizes me. Fresh air always helps blow the cobwebs away.
