Like the Mighty Boosh, I am a firm believer that it is impossible to be unhappy in a poncho.
I was really pleased then, when S was sent a poncho from Moomoo Ponchos for review. And so was she, as you can tell:
They do have some girlie designs, but I explained how S is quite the tomboy, and we went with a cowgirl design instead. Needless to say, she loves it.
It’s made from a beautiful, soft, fleece fabric which feels really cosy, and has a lovely, large hood. As well as this there is a button fastening at the neck so that you can make sure it’s a nice snug fit.
S is so happy with her poncho, she’s insisted on wearing it lots, even in the summer heat. Just lately, we’ve discovered that it is perfect for getting warm after going outside in the rain – or for staying warm while eating an ice lolly!
I love the wide range of patterns these come in; they’re so fun and perfect for festival season, or really just the typical British summertime! I find that in the “interesting” weather we have, it’s easier to persuade S to bring her poncho out of the house with her than a coat – because she is under the mistaken impression that she should not need a coat in the summer!
It’s such a cute design, she gets compliments wherever she wears it. And because it’s a poncho, it’s not something she’s likely to grow out of in a matter of months like lots of other clothes at this age. I would definitely recommend a Moomoo ponch for any child.
