S really loves dolls, and she loves interactive toys too – so she was delighted when two Teenie Tiny Toes dolls arrived for her to review.

Teenie Tiny Dolls are new interactive dolls that fit in the palm of your hand. Measuring 11cm, each doll has 7 sensors and reacts to touch, motion and light.

There are three Teenie Tiny Dolls available: Ticklish Tess (pictured above); Gigglin’ Gabby and Laughin’ Luna.

S received Ticklish Tess (the bunny rabbit) and Gigglin’ Gabby (the panda) and she was delighted to explore all the different ways she could interact with them.

Here are some of the ways you can interact with Teenie Tiny Toes dolls:

  • Touch the doll’s back and she will burp
  • Rock her to sleep
  • Play peekaboo by covering her eyes
  • Tickle her feet and tummy
  • The doll’s head and arms move
  • She opens and closes her eyes
  • The doll’s legs are articulated at the hip, meaning you can sit them up or lay them down
  • The doll will blow kisses
  • There are other unexpected surprises; each doll has a unique theme, voice and play.

Teenie Tiny Toes Interactive Dolls: The Verdict

S says:

You can tickle their feet and they laugh and also you can rock them to sleep. You can also play peekaboo with them and they move their arms up and down. I quite like them, they are so cute and make good noises.

From a parent’s point of view these dolls are cute and fun, and provide the chance to explore and learn how they interact. They also have an Off switch meaning they can be put away at the end of the day without having to wait for them to “fall asleep” – and they won’t terrify you by suddenly screaming from the toy box at 2am! (we have had this issue with more than one noisy toy over the years!)

You can usually judge how S rates a new toy by where it sleeps at night: some are sent to the toy box; others sit on a table and the select few are assigned pride of place on her bedside table – which is where her two Teenie Tiny Toes dolls currently reside.

Teenie Tiny Toes dolls retail at £14.99 which I think is a reasonable price considering their level of interaction. They seem to tick all the right boxes for S!
