We were sent a Simba Hybrid Duvet for review – which was exciting because I love sleep and I love my bed!

The Simba Hybrid Duvet is 10.5 tog and suitable for year-round use. They say that the Simba Renew Bio™ filling ensures softness, warmth and breathability. It also has Stratos® temperature control technology which helps dissipate excess heat.

The duvet itself is very thick, but not dense. It’s not heavy, and if I’m honest I was unsure as to how warm it would keep me through the recent cold spell.

This duvet is filled using Simba Renew Bio™ – made from recycled PET bottle fibres, but it also biodegrades and when in a landfill environment will almost totally dissolve within 2 years.

The duvet has a handy tag on it so that you know which way to put it into a duvet cover. (is it just me who always struggles to figure that out?!)

As you can see from the images, one side of the duvet has a pattern, and the other side looks plain but is actually covered in tiny dots – this is the Stratos®. It helps your body to regulate heat in the night by drawing heat away when you’re too warm, retaining it and then releasing it when your body temperature drops.

Stratos® uses the same science as is used in astronauts’ space suits, which is pretty impressive.

I love that they’ve thought of everything – from a tag to tell you which end of the duvet needs to go at the foot of the bed, to the blue piping which shows you which side of the duvet should go on top.

I’ve been using this duvet for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say I’m impressed. I stay nice and warm overnight – but never too warm. As an added bonus, because the filling is so light, making the bed in the morning is super easy – just shake it out, and it falls into place.

Simba is a certified B Corp. For those who don’t know what that is, certifying as a B Corp involves meeting the highest standards for social and environmental performance, as well as transparency and accountability. buying from a B Corp means you can rest assured your money is not being used to fund dodgy deals, the staff are being treated fairly and the company is doing its best to take care of the environment. For example: all of their deliveries are 100% carbon neutral, their factory uses 100% renewable energy, and 100% of waste is recycled.

If you’re looking for a new duvet, I really think it’s worth spending that bit extra to get a Simba Hybrid Duvet – you’re worth it!
