In this book we follow the adventures of four little trick-or-treaters as they make their way to the pumpkin parade… and there are pumpkins everywhere!
This book has very few words – which is ideal for little people who are just starting to learn letters – and probably for slightly older ones who want to have a go at reading for themselves.
S loves this book because of all the spooky Halloween costumes – and all the pumpkins! The illustrations are brilliant and if you want to make the story a little longer there are things to talk about in the pictures as well.
S loves to point out the different Halloween costumes; sometimes we count the pumpkins or talk about what songs they might be dancing to. S loves to point out the different costumes on each page, and to point out the different faces on the pumpkins.
This is a lovely book, perfect for younger children who want to have fun and enjoy Halloween without being scared!
You can’t see from the cover image below, but the moon is covered in iridescent which is really effective and makes the book look even more exciting for a young reader.
NB I was provided with a copy of this book for the purpose of review, but all opinions are my own.
Thanks for reading.

ooh, my son has started talking about pumpkins recently since we saw one in a shop. I might try and get a copy of this for him

That’s exactly why I was so pleased to receive it – I think they must have been talking about Halloween at nursery as S is a bit obsessed!

I love this! Halloween’s so much fun anyway, and this looks like it would be a great book to introduce it to younger kids. #readwithme

We love it! Since we’ve been reading it, S points out pumpkins everywhere she sees them – which is obviously most places at the moment!
