How has your week been?

Goal for last week

Last week’s goal was to keep up the good work – and I think I’ve done ok. I still need to work on making sure I eat a proper lunch, though!

Goal for this week

This week my goal is to make sure I’m eating better meals at lunch time – and if I can’t fit in a meal (often I forget and then find it’s too late in the day for lunch), then to at least have a smoothie ith some protein powder!

Exercise

This week I’m continuing with PiYo and I’m still loving it. As time moves on the workouts are getting harder – so the ones I did in the first couple of weeks have been replaced with much harder ones that really challenge me. But as well as challenging me, they make me feel really strong when I manage to do them! I’ve been getting up really early in the mornings after reading this book, and so my workout is now happening around 5:30am, if not earlier – well before S wakes up! She is not too happy about that, but I’m really enjoying starting my day alone with my workout. She still gets to come and join in on our days off though, so there’s still fun to be had!

Food/Drink

This week I blogged about my new eating regime and how it’s helping me not only to lose weight but to feel more energetic and less bloated. I feel like this really works for me. I can’t explain why, but while I’ve managed to fail with every single “diet” I’ve tried in the past, and have never been one for healthy eating or any such nonsense, the simple notion of just not eating after 7pm works for me. I arrange my day to ensure I can finish my dinner before 7pm, and I’ve begun arranging my mornings to ensure I can have my breakfast at 11am. No meetings at 10:30 – they have to wait until I’ve had something to eat!

Weight & Measurements

Weight 162lb. Last week: 161lb. 1lb on!
Bust: 36″ Last week: 36.5″ 0.5″ down
R Arm: 12″ Same as last week
L Arm: 12″ Same as last week
Waist: 34.5″ Same as last week
Hips: 38″ Same as last week
R Thigh: 22″ Same as last week
L Thigh: 22″ Same as last week

I’m not over the moon at having put a pound back on – though I am aware this is possibly due to my food choices the night before I weighed myself, since I woke up at 3am with stomach ache too! I’m feeling decidedly under the weather at the moment, as is S – so we’ve both been largely house bound outside of nursery hours this week. I’m not overly worried about a slight gain as I’m sill really enjoying the PiYo and I feel like my clothes fit me much better.

I have to say I think you’re looking great! In your photo you look very happy and that colour (the pink top) really suits you by the way. I wouldn’t worry about 1lb, I’m sure you can reign it back in. xx #BloggingtoJogging

I’m really pleased to hear that your enjoying your workouts still, I sometimes find I get bored and lose motivation. It’s also nice to read someone is doing well with the fitness journey, I’ve had to take a break due to Shin Splints (owie) so will definitely keep reading you weekly weigh in post’s to help keep me motivated for when I start exercising again.
Try not to worry about the lb you put on it could be like you say the meal the night before or it could just be muscle weight ( muscle weighs more than fat) and if you’r feeling stronger chances are it’s proberbly muscle weight. Well done.

I’m so impressed at you getting up at 5.30 to exercise. I love running and aspire to be an early morning enthusiast, but generally evening suits me better. Really interesting to read about Piyo too – enjoy Pilates but have never heard of this combination before. Lovely to have a read via #fitnessfriday

Thanks Rachel. I’m as surprised as you are about getting up at 5:30 to exercise but I’m really enjoying it!

Well done you on getting up early, I keep telling myself I need to do that but when the alarm goes off I hit snooze. Sounds like you’re doing well though. I find I can do the exercise part it’s the eating well I fall down on, lunch is my biggie too, I usually don’t have it if I’m at work. Thanks for linking up with #FitnessFriday

It’s always the food isn’t it.
